Surveillance cameras from a Starbucks near the scene captured the suspect buying a bottle of water and some snacks about 30 minutes before the attack. Police believe he was carefully prepared. After the attack, the suspect crossed the street and used a small alley to escape to an electric motorcycle parked on 55th Street before fleeing north along 6th Avenue and into Central Park, where he was last seen.
